How Does a PRP Facial Work?
Once you're comfortably seated in one of our private treatment rooms at our San Antonio, TX office, a small amount of blood will be drawn from one of your arms and placed in a centrifuge machine. Usually, we take about four tablespoons or one vial worth of blood. After approximately 15 minutes in the centrifuge machine, the PRP will get separated from the rest of the blood so it can be placed into a syringe. We can then inject the PRP into the treatment areas on your face. The PRP works by stimulating the production of collagen, which creates healthy tissue to improve skin imperfections. Results should be seen almost right away and can last for about a year.
