Dr. Francisco Cardona is a board-certified internal medicine physician at Vita Nova Anti-Aging and Rejuvenation Clinic who specializes in hormone replacement therapy and weight management for adults of all ages. He earned his medical degree from University Iberoamericana in the Dominican Republic after serving as a combat photographer in the United States Air Force. Dr. Cardona then became a surgical assistant before going on to complete his residency in internal medicine in Puerto Rico.
From there, he completed a fellowship in geriatric medicine at the University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio. Afterward, Dr. Cardona went back to working in a hospital setting before founding his own primary care practice.
In addition to his continued work both at Carlsbad Medical Center, where he is currently the Chief of Medicine, as well as at his private practices, Dr Cardona also serves as a Clinical Assistant Professor for the Burrell College of Osteopathic Medicine. He is also part of the core faculty for ALMA Lasers.
